yamaha Zuma 50 variator Shims for Adjusting to Belt Width
When tuning your CVT its where your belt rides between the plates of the fixed drive and ramp plate of variator. In other words tghe space between the two plates on the bushing the belt rides must be all the way open and all the way closed for best performance.
Using a shim to lengthen the bushing to allow belt to ride all the way down has best chance of starting in lowest gear ratio. Most belts ride up just a little.
These are Stage6 brand.
To set up the variator for optimal gear changing characteristics. In order to match the variator to the V-belt width to obtain excellent acceleration, you will need these washers.
They will be placed between the drive face and the bushing, this way allowing for adjustment of the distance between variator and drive face.
If you want to get the most out of your scooter you won't get around setting up your vario, mainly relying on the concept of trial and error - but the result is really worth the effort! The set consists of 32 washers between 0.4mm and 0.8mm.
