Start of A New Scooter Year
Thoughts on the New Scooter Year 2006
Sales were good for the month of Dec and the season. Not as strong as expected with mostly the Meitian line with the Classic Euro Retro getting most of the sales with the smaller gas and electric scooters from Xtreme doing well. With the addition of scooter accessories these did well also, everyone always needs a cover, lock, cool looking jacket to wear plus gloves for the colder months. I do not think any of our customers buying the jackets and gloves are not scooter owners.
Parts are moving well in the off season and are sure to pick up and peak in the spring when everyone starts breaking out scooters form winter hidding. Alot of riders do not ride in the colder months so most sales of scooters come from the warmer states as in FL and CA. Strick state laws make it hard to sell all our scooters to the state of CA so we try to stick with the Verucci line which has the EPA stickers already on the scooter that some DMV offices ask for in CA. Its funny because not all DMV offices ask for this, its not clear if this is a state wide occurrence but more an office to office thing. All of our scooters are EPA/DOT approve for sale in all states and we have only found that CA sometimes requires a actual sticker. Since all but Verucci do not provide these stickers we rather be safe than sorry for our customers in CA.
Scootertronics is working on its second location this spring to sell and service our scooters to go along with our delivery of a ready to ride scooter. This is a great way for our customers to get top notch service and be sure that they are getting a scooter with no problems form the start. There are so many dealers that can not support their sales so Scootertronics goes to great lengthes to ensure that our customers get the best customer service we can offer and nothing less.
The Dealer Expo is in Feb which we will attend so we can check out all the new scooters for 2006 and get them on our site so we can offer all the new models along side our standard Geely, Verucci and Meitian line. Since we are not bringing in anymore two stroke scooters in 2006 we only will be selling the ones we have in stock and once those are gone we wil move on to all Four Stroke models.
Scootertronics will be caring more of the Strada scooters plus a few more Retro 150 models along with the sporty 150 models that are coming out this spring. Most of these models will come with a one year warranty.
