The Dealer Expo was one hell of a good time. Having all these scooter people in on place is a joy to be hold. Nothing really too new on the Chinese side of things. With more and more dealers popping up all over the states getting service should become less of a hassle real soon. You just need to look for these dealers in your area. The INTERNET still will out price any local dealer because of over head. Even though scootertronics has a store plus offices and warehouse storage we still are able to offer low prices locally due to the volume we move on the INTERNET. Hooking up with Joel and his tech from MRP Speed for a dinner at Morton's along with the GSmotorworks gang was certainly a good time. Spending time with Red Streak Motors Bev and Eric who by the way is the super tech of scooters and I always pick his brain every time we party which has been often lately. 

 Meeting the rest of my reps from Tank, Primo and HCI was a good thing a face to face always brings things together. Primo does have alot of new models being the only one with a 250 Touring ready to ship that comes only in Black. Everyone will have a 250 Touring real soon which all will be the same with extras making the price along with Tanks 250 Touring arriving first and the great one from PSF the RX300 Touring from Strada in April. Of course the 250 MS2620 from PSF is ready now for shipping with its alien look.

Lots of new products will be offered by scootertronics from MRP Speed. Electrical Connection and Marlin Clocks. Scootertronics has a custom built radio system coming for all scooters with speakers mounting on mirror mounts for a statelite radio mp3 player or what ever you need for your tunes or news. Clocks from Marlin will be offered with a stick on back that a Harley can not shake loose. Graphics will be coming soon to trick out your scooter plus GIVI trunks which can be removed with quick release. These are for the 150s we have that do not come with trunks and of course stock trunks are available for all Strada scooters.

Te delivery of our Verucci Retro 150 has left some con fussed on how to get seat open. All though its plain as day on the key switch some can not find and are also skipping charging of the battery before installing. With any purchase of a power sports product on the INTERNET you must learn everything you can about your scooter before starting to ride. The Veruccis are known for hard starts out of the crate and simply uses starting fluid solves This problem as with all scooters.

We have shipped several RX200 in place of the Strada 150CTE in the last few weeks and this will not last to much longer so get yours now.

We do have our Primo Strada Streaker on sale for 1399.99 delivered which is the best performer of all so far being the same as all PSF 150s with different graphics.

50cc Scooters

Seems that the scootertronics blogg has gotten the attention of not only readers that visit scootertronics but the whole industry has taken notice so I will try to visit and update this blog as much as I can. My recent comments on the Tank Touring has changed some minds which I am not really setting out to do just want our customers to have the best info from my experiences with the scooters we offer. I am a complete fan of scooters and ride everyday. My ride at this time has been the Verucci 150GTX and the Tank Touring. The Verucci 150GTX has proved to be a performer with take off and top speed. Although I do not ride above 55 the speed meter shows 65 and above but I do not really think I am going that fast. I have clocked with my wife driving our family car with kids dog and all at 55 top speed which is plenty for me. Most 150cc scooter top out at 55 with specs claiming 65 which it does state on our site. These specs I get form the manufactuers so I post like everyone else if I did not people would think my scooters were that the same as other sites that sell the same thing. The Verucci and Strada scooters are basically the same with only the extras and paint schemes being different. I personally like the Stradas over most because of the support I get form the Power Sports Factory and thier location to scootertronics. I go there often and see and test all the scooters they offer. Although I do not sell them all this is mainly due that they are not avalible and I have not tested.

Our Strada Streaker 150cc scooter is on sale for 1399.99 delivered with a free trunk which alomost all 150s do not come with. The Streaker is a Strada in all senses but with a different name only. Still get the Silverstone exhaust, 157QMJ engine plus lighted mirrors, front disc brakes and trunk.

50cc scooter sales will pick up once spring hits with all that do not want to get motorcycle license which is not required in most states for under 50cc scooter and most do not require tags either which is a big plus. We are ready this year with some fine models as the Classic Euro Retro GT, Metro Sport X-1 Turbo and the Metro Duo Turbo being the largest 49.7cc scooter we offer with trunks. These scooters have been upgrade for increased power and speed and will ride two with ease which most 49cc scooters do not. The Strada RX8 is other fine 49.7cc scooter with larger 12" wheels which make it an easy fit for adults and dwarfs most 49cc scooters. Room for two plus the Euro look. We are testing this scooter once again and find it rides on par with most 150s. If you do not want a motorcycle license and do not need to go over 45 go with any of the above and get the best.

Feb sales are steady with alot of parts going along with batteries. Be sure to see Feb sales info for Valentines Day.

The Tank Touring advertised by Scootertronics from specs from Tank have this scooters top speed of 65mph. So far I have put over 200 comfortable miles on this scooter and never hitting 65, top speed for me has been 55 with some trouble with handling at this speed. Since all roads I travel on are 50mph I really have no need for 65 but when traffic is heavy I need to keep up at 55 to keep all the afternoon gotta get home traffic from ridding up my rear. The Tank Touring is selling well with its low price which is going to go up to 1599.99 this week due to Tanks price increase. Jan sales were up for the after christmas rush and special intro price of 1399.99 but sorry to say this is over for now. Selling scooters at very low prices will work its way into our customer service efforts and we can not have that, all customers of scootertronics except excellant service and we intend on giving that too them. By keep our prices up keeps the help happy with good pay which in turn helps our customers and after all thats what its all about anyway.

The Tank Touring is a nice looking scooter and will please many with its style and comfort but fo rthise who need alittle more speed we have the 250cc Avanti Upsilon and the Strada Modesta hitting our site anyday now.

Strada sales are slowly picking for the new year with the more knowledgable customers picking the industrys reliable and well known Strada line of scooters. Due to stock issues we have been shipping the RX200 in place of our 150 TEs and CEs which makes most customers very happy with the increase in power at the 150 price plus the looks of the RX200 will catch anyones eye.

The Strada RX8 four stroke 50cc scooter is under going some testing now to see where we will place this scooter for spring sales. The RX8 could very well take the place of our most popular Geely Falcon 18. The RX8 has the larger wheels and larger seat which makes it a scooter for the larger adult with having an extra strong 50cc engine that has been performing well getting 40mph out of the box with speeds of 45mph to rival our Metro Duo sport scooter with the Turbo upgrade installed to get this kinda speed to keep up with traffic.

The Strada RX300 (297cc) is 60days away with the 250cc Starda Modesta that has just arrived and ready to ship with a little testing as yet to be done.

The Avanti scooters have come to our attention with samples last week of the new 50cc-250cc models not too unlike the Vento line. Scootertronics will team up with Avanti Power Sports to offer the complete Avanti line by spring. With a 250cc model we can offer the fastest scooter on the internet. With high performance mufflers and digital dash plus engines form Linhai the Avanti line with excite many.

Valentine Day Sale

January finished off strong with Strada and Tank sales leading the way. Sales have been strong for the new year mostly due to the mild winter the Northeast has had up to this point. Along with the Starda line of 50cc - 150cc plus the Tank Touring 150 our new Retro Sport 150cc from Verucci have all shown promising results for the new year. The Verucci Retro Sport 150cc has been a hit with the ladies due to its Vespa styling and low profile that makes it easily managed veruses the bigger Strada Chrome Edition that most male customers seem to desire. Scootertronics Vento line is slow moving this year with most sales to the more experience scooter rider with Vento being the most known plus being built mainly in the USA in Texas. The Vento line brings the most upgrades that come stock like the high performance exhaust that adds that only speed but better gas mileage.

With Scootertronics picking the CA based Tank Touring we were able to get this scooter delivered very easily and in tac plus assembled in 45 minutes and on the road for our required testing before selling any scooter.

Because the tank Touring needs more assembly than most scooters this is an area we feel needs to be easy for our customers. The first thing we noticed were the lack of assembly instructions, although not a problem for us not a good thing for Tank or our customers. We have taken the time to write our own assembly instructions as we do for all our scooters no matter how much assembly is required. Once assembled it was time for starting after battery was fully charged which is a step most customers fail to do and a costly one. The Tank Touring fired right up with its upgarded fuel delivery system which is an advantage over most scooters. Once on the road it handled well at low speeds up to 50mph. The get up and go is lacking only due to the weight. Once over 50 the scooter seemed to handle rough and takes  more control by the rider than a Starda or Verucci 150 plus much more than a Vento scooter its same size. Because of this we will recommend only experienced riders take on the Tank Touring. A huge plus for this scooter is the seat. Once on this scooter I easily put 100 miles on the first ride because of the comfort of the seat with excellent back support. Although not a Modesto or Vento Phantom the Tank Touring will please alot of people. If more speed is needed than we would go with a Starda RX260 or Vento Phantera GT5 150cc Scooter. With the new Avanti line coming the Tank will need to address its handling above 50mph.

Scootertronics is now offering the Verucci Retro Sport 150cc scooter. With its low profile and Vespa look it is a most appealing scooter. Colors are very pretty being metallic and pastel. Along with our very fast Classic Euro Retro GT the Verucci Retro 150 Sport fills a void left for the more retro minded adults being mostly for the ladies than anyone else hence the colors we are offering.

During the month of Feb as with all months there will be a theme sale of Red Scooters plus helmets to celebrate Valentines Day for all the sweethearts and of course eveyone is a sweetheart to someone.

For March we will go with Green scooters for St Patricks Day. More to come for March.
