Spring is Here April is Ending

Whats New

April Sales

Gas Prices

With spring officially here and the scooter public awaking with such force it would be hard for any company at any size to keep up with sales and customer service which is Scootertronics number one priority. The customer we already have is the important one, the new ones are important also but first is first by the way. Providing the kind of service we are known for is our hardest job. There are several larger companies than Scootertronics pulling larger numbers and selling more scooters but unable to answer the phone or emails. Although the phone does overwhelm us, we stick to answering all emails right away, we are an INTERNET company first and this is how we are set up to do business. We have gone to great lengths to improve our delivery of scooters and parts with new systems and partners. Our biggest change has happened with Pilot Air doing most of our deliveries. They do a much better job of tracking and delivery of an undamaged scooter. With much higher costs we are willing to go this way just to insure delivery of a undamaged scooter which had been a problem with others. Although all damage is paid for, the customer deserves an undamaged scooter that they do not have to wait for parts when they first receive. We have gone to great lengths to do this with prefect results. Other huge changes include MRP parts and the Tank scooter line which is changing ways of delivering the scooters and will affect our sales of Tank scooters. Never again will we be able to just deliver a timely Tank scooter. It will take up to three weeks sometimes, so we urge you to pick another scooter which we feel we can give a better product and much better support until Tank, the company, makes their own changes. We are stuck with Tank's policy's as everyone will be.

April sales are huge. Most sought after are the Strada line and the Geely Falcon 18. Tanks move well but with the increased cost and delivery time they are going down. The new Avanti line is almost here, arriving in the middle of May. Also coming are excellent scooters in the Vento/Strata product line with great support. Change at the Power Sports Factory have actually made it easier for us to deliver a scooter. When you work with such a great company good results are bound to happen. Want a great scooter order a Strada or our own Streaker 150 or our Turbo 50s.

With gas prices increasing daily more scooters are moving out and I'm sure we can keep up with some moving on to different sites because when we can not help with what they demand, it is better to have a happy customer than a disappointed one.

Moped Madness - Scooter Smarts

You'll just love this article about moped and scooter riding trends in America.  In fact the use of mopeds and the bigger scooters are all the rage in many communities and their use is rapidly growing.

People are looking for ways to easily commute around town, save money on gas, and find easy parking in crowded urban areas.  What better way to get around than a sleek, euro-style scooter?

Scooter riders get hooked on the experience of scooter riding as attested to by one scooter aficionado quoted in this article.

"...Four years later, Mr. Biek is still hooked. "Once you ride one, you have to have one," he says. "It's consumed my entire life, and I have no real explanation for it."

Scooter riding has become cool in many circles.  Embraced by many and particularly the younger set, the number of Americans riding scooters is at an all time high.

"Atlanta commuter Jeff Smith never really saw himself as a motorcycle guy. But four months ago he bought a used Vespa and soon purchased a second, larger one that's fast enough to take on the interstate. "I worried people were going to say, 'Why are you riding your girlfriend's bike?' " says Mr. Smith. "But instead people stop me every day and ask: 'What is it? How many miles to the gallon does it get? And how much does it cost?' "

Not only are scooters fun to ride and easy to use to get around town, but the ability to save really big at the gas pump is getting many people's attention.

March Closes Out/Spring is Here

March Scooters

Strada Scooters

Geely Falcon 18

March is done and has seen both warm weather and some of old man winter break through which keep me from ridding much but others still brave the cold on thier scooters. The Strada RX200HP still lives as our most popular 150 with most needing a little more speed that this model gets with its racing cam which bumps it up to 155cc. The Streaker 150 seems to give its all for most giving you the results needed for a smooth commute.

Our good friends over at Scootdawg have been testing the ever popular MRP speed high performance parts adding the MRP Exhaust Pipe to a Matrix 150 with great results. MRP offers several additions for all scooters that will make your scooter hum like like a bee and rumble like a bull. By changing out the spark plug to a much better NGK brand you can get easier starting plus use the iriduim plug and really get push button starting for 50cc and 150cc. MRP adds the Black Chrome trans case cover to add a look like no other to your 150 scooter that brings out that chrome retro look you got with all chrome added to your car. Changing the roller weights in your variator willl also get you more top end speed to keep up with traffic. This an easy upgrade that does not take long to do and there is plenty of help at scootertronics plus scootdawg adds detailed instructions.

With continued testing of our Tank and Strada scooters mainly the Streaker 150 and Tank Touring plus the Sporty and Racer 150 the Streaker 150GT continues to out perform the Tank models in top end and handling. While the Tank scooters are a very value most feel the Strada models give just that much more. The Touring model is still top of the line for Tank with its 250 due anyday but with the Touring model you get much more to handle and thats getting away from the whole scooter ideal where you get an easy to handle bike that gets good top end and weaves in and out of traffic, not so with the Tank Touring you must be on your toes with this model to keep it on the road at all speeds.

With spring here we got out the Geely 18 four stroke and fired her up with a push of a button. While we maintained the battery during winter and kept the scooter covered that produced the results we were looking for to keep this scooter up. Withg a quick fluid change and a new plug gapped at .050 she runs well getting the 35 we would expect for a 49.5cc engine with an average rider. Keeping your battery maintained is as important always. These small batteriers will not last if you do not ride. With an average of twice weekbeing enough to to keep it chaged anything less a battery maintainer should be used. While most find themselves looking for a battery every spring some of us have no problems.
