May and the State of Scooter Market

May Sales With may and April being some of the busiest months there was a small delay in getting started this year due the weather across the nation. Well that has changed and now everyone wants a scooter today. In some ways we were completely ready for this in others as with new items and new scooters the tide was still out. Biggest change for Scootertronics has come with our Expressway 250, we simply did not get enough of these and ran out right away. Considering the Expressway 250 was a new model we sold most of these locally so we could service them and take care of any new model problems. The biggest problem we had was with the crates and shipping damage. Everything else worked out fine with a few minor adjustments to gas flow fixing most or any problems. The shipping damage was just scrapes no broken pieces. Considering the reaction and demand for the Expressway 250 we have added the Linhai Scooters which offer two larger 250cc plus a 300cc Touring Model same as the Superstrada SS300 so these are now shipping. We do feel these are much better scooters with a higher performance level than teh JMStar brand. The Linhai scooters have the Linhai Yamaha engines in them and very close to the Yamaha Majesty.

May News

With an exciting new year and a huge outpouring of customers for the time of the scooter is here. It seems to grow everyday from new models to new forums that spring to get scooter owners together. Lots of different scooters are avaliable for all to see ride and own. Scootertronics has focused on the Made in China brands from Vento, Strada, Tank, JMStar, Meitian plus early sales of Geelys which have all but pasted. Adding our ready to ride service to some of our models has made shipping to a customer out of state a whole different experience with near perfect results. This practice will continue to grow as more customers demand service with the sale. Some goes as far as having the better high performance parts added to get the most from their scooter. My experience with the High Performance parts that are avaible today only improve the performance of the scooters. These parts are related to the auto industry as in adding a better part for the job it needs to do in your scooter. A new high performance exhaust is just much better than the stock exhaust that comes on most 150cc scooters. Same goes for the kelvar belts - - is not how many MPH that are added just that you have the best part for the job and the performance goes along in MPH plus gas savings. The most popular upgrades for most Four Stroke 150cc scooters is a high performance exhaust plus kelvar belt, simple and gets the job done. Adding the whole new variator with new weights will get a start on getting started down the road. Once the exhaust is done add the intake and carb or just re jet add air filter and get it done.

April Spring New Vento Scooters

Seems as if time flys but not here at scootertronics time rides and that is what April has brought to us all at scootertronics time to ride. With this is mind a good percentage of customers are taking advantage of our ready to ride feature with customer getting a scooter that has been ridden and tested for any bugs that might occur plus putting break-in miles on so customers gets up to speed on first ride. With the two stroke customers getting high performance exhaust installed as well as carbs cylinder kits and belts before recieving thier scooters. The Strada RX200HP is selling well with carbon fiber exhaust added as a extra performance part that gives this scooter a nice sound plus an extra kick. When installed with a Polini belt with 9 grams slider weights the performance is even more increased. My ridding time has been spent on a Vento Rebellion I got last spring. When getting out for the first time this year she needed a new battery plus running lights and started fine with high test. Giving the Rebellion a few weeks it was time for the V-5 and its first miles in 2007. My trip to the shop was slowed to 60mph because of the weather but besides it being nippy that night the trip was great, The distance between shop and the main office is 75 miles one way so you see it was a trip at the end. I do ride warm with leather plus chaps. Scootertronics and Vento have joined up to offer 2007 Vento scooters to our customers in 2007. The first batch of 150R4i are the Li(Lithium) versions which include the instrument clusters like the GT5 series with digital dash front and rear disc brakes. Scootertronics preps all Vento scooters before customer recieves the scooter. We except the carry the Phantom LI and GT5 versions in stcok as wel as some Triton GT5s which we will upgraded as well.
