Indy Show

Indy Show

When scootertronics crew attending four day sat the show we covered a lot of ground checking out new scooters go carts and atvs and our favorite parts vendors and of course a tin of new stuff which we can not see it all it take years of going to see everything.

MRP is where I (Michael) spent most of my time helping dealers and new customers looking for high performance parts for their scooters go carts and atvs. Joel from MRP had asked me back in Oct during my fall visit to Miami which I also visited UM, Verucci, Scooter Super Store, Binetto, JMStar, Xinguye and about 12 scooter shops.

It was interesting seeing these shops with not one being what I would call a full service shop and not one I would shop at, now the Scooter Super Store was a different story. With Peter Warricks extensive Vespa collection and GTO collection I had a lot to check out. The Store was filled with Piaggo and Vespa plus Kymco and others. Most scooter shops in Miami beach are rentals and upkeep is ignored.

The Indy show surprised me with new offerings from Tomos which mainly sells mopeds real ones not just a scooter has now moved in on scooters. Two models there with one new design no others are offering and the Classic Retro design that I do not care to much for even so Tomos should be recognized as a leader being they already have a name and a good rep. They do have a sport scooter that is 49cc and 150cc four stroke that we will look into carrying at scootertronics.

THG has beefed up their line also to carry all the popular models. The one good thing about TNG and Tomos is that they understand parts and service where most Chinese brands do and its all in the distributor here in the states, these would be the Roketa, Sunl and Tank scooters.

With plenty of parts providers it’s a wonder more are not offered online. Scootertronics will offer more than just standard parts with going with parts such as Ferodo brake pads and much better electronics for CDIs and starters and most other regulators and rectifers.

Jonway and Xinguyeusa will be handled by Scootertronics and give us the best made models amd support found anywhere in the states and that’s the ony way to do it is with a manufacturers that is in the states. We met with both and have been doing business since 2008 with Jonway and 2007 with Xinguye. Scootertronics will wholesale both brands as well as retail. Dealers who come on board will get all service Scootertronics has to offer with no problem ever being unresolved with most in 24hrs.

New Vog 260

The Vog 260 is moving well with a lot more interest than we had excepted this early in the year. We are prepping at no extra charge at this time and will raise price soon on the model as well as others. The price of FOB China is going way up as well as shipping pricing with gas prices on the raise.

Most customers are also having upgrades done before delivery with DR Pulley clutches and new chrome high performance pipes. Our MRP pipes we use on the V5 and go carts are working but out custom headers are falling behind which brings is to Leo Vince pipes for Burgman 400s and Reflex 250 scooters being used instead, there is a shortage of MRP Pipes right now.

New Scooter Line Up

Vog 260 Yamaha 257cc Liquid Cooled OHC Engine

Scootertronics has introduced its Vog 260 Touring scooter with the newly design Yamha horizontal engine which tops out at 257cc. With Suzuki Burgman looks and style with Yamaha design for engine this scooter tops all others for handling and top speed with a stable ride. Large seat with plenty of storage under the seat due to horizontal engine instead of the CN250 vertical used in most 250cc scooters.

Along with the Vog 260 Scootertronics has also brought in the Kymco People style ITA 150 150cc Scooter with large 16" wheels for a very stable ride which tops at out at a cool 60mph with no problem, with a new generation GY6 engine. A well known style in the scooter world lets the ITA stand out among cookie cutter designs that are all but boring to the year old scooter owner.

Scooters Soaring Gas Prices

Gas Saving Scooters

With soaring gas prices many consumers are looking for some kind of relief. Gas prices affect us all. While consumers are looking to the internet for gas saving scooters and the are finding them and making apurchase. This is a good for scooter selling web sites. But what happens is the same as a consumer looking for savings the web sites are looking for savings when shipping the scooters to consumers. Shipping costs naturally go up also which it turn the scooter price goes up becasue of high gas prices then throw in Chinas cost that has risen over the past year. The down fall of the dollar over seas has made the price go up. What this does men to the scooter consumer who is shopping for a new scooter will see higher prices for the better product and very low prices for the cheapest of cheap. If something seems to be to good to be true than thats is just the case.

Scootertronics has the right deal for consumer who visits our site or comes by our shop in MD. We ship assembled and ready to ride scooters that can be uncrated and ridden that hour. This service is not found anywhere else on the net. Most sites sell in the same crate that was used to deliver the scooter to the US and shipped out that way with ever being tested to see if they even start up. Scootertronics does not and will continue to do high performance upgrades to scooters to get all the performance from thier scooter in 2008.
