Aug picks up right where July left off with hundreds of emails and calls, although we have added numerous people to help answer phones fill orders and do repairs and prepping so we are able to catch up a little even though we were robbed Aug 5 of four scooters that were all set to go out. This reallu hurt but we have over come this as well as most problems we are faced with everyday. Most of our distributors have simplky sold out of most products we get from them which leaves our customers with no products. We do our very best in this crazy world of chinese scooters.

To keep up with all the customers and ship over one thousand products a month we have hired an operations manager to over see everything and handle concerns from our customers. Aug has brought as many orders as the months before in 2008. We have also hired agreat shop tech and a new girl to handle repair and parts for shop, you know to keep things in order.

In 2003 I started scootertronics and have been here ever since. With gas prices the way they are we grown so fast its hard to keep up but we are and still the only place for most of what we sell.

I will not let scootertronics fall back or go away but to grow stronger everyday.

With July closing down we are digging out doing our best to process all orders and get them shipped. When the 2008 gas prices rose everyone wants a scooter and wants one prepped and deliveried ready to ride which is how we do it to cut down on any problems and be legal. We are starting to stop selling alot of different scooters that are not living up to what they were supposed to be plus alot of parts we simply can not get anymore. Most of our problems have nothing to do with us but with distributors who bring scooters into the states and no parts and then tell thier customers to call us. We get 1,000s of emails and phone calls on three different numbers and still do not even come close to helping everyone who did not buy from us. We are different where we will help all who call but need to help the customers who spend money with us first.

Deliveries Part Orders

With July almost over we have been in full swing with scooters and parts coming in plus lots of parts that we did not have we awhile like 95 jets for four stroke 49cc 139QMB engines we have carb jets alright and filling all BO.

We are extremely busy and know that all customers need help because of gas prices and we are doing the most we can do.

Phone calls are drowning us with so many tech questions from customers who are not our customers but have bought a scooter on the internet and the dealer or site does not want to help them or simply can not so they call us and we do what we can to help everyone who calls. We do have to help our customers first thats just what we have to do and believe me we have plenty that we can not get to all themm right away but we try our best working 7 days a week 14 hours a day and this is now 7 people with sales, shop, parts and service plus prep and delivery.

Retro 16s are in and going fast, so order one soon if you want one.

We are doing our nest and prepping all scooters and getting them but always find new things that need our attention like the Vogs coolant is not reallt coolant from China so we are changing all that now so that adds time. Our ITAs are not assembled when we get them so they need complete assembly and they way they are packed from factory they are now breaking left side brake handles so we need to replace most of them.

Sport Rs and Metro Duos have been coming in so these are going out as fast as we get them. Plus alot of customers request upgrades to be done before hand.

I do need to thank all our customers for hanging in there with us and waiting on scooters and parts because we are nothing without them.

MCOs we ahve gotten behind mainly due to our distributors not gettin them to us. Its never really that we are doing a bad job but when we do not have a scooter in stock and order them the MCOs are sent to us by mail same as when we send them and they do not always get here with scooters and customers who have been calling everyday so we ship the scooter than MCOs get to us and send to customer. We are doing massive MCOs all weekend and willsend most that are due on Mon-Wed July 28-30 to catch up on last few weeks.

Scooters from China in general and out of stock at most places not just us thats why people are are so worried we are ripping them off we are not we do not charge unless you are getting a scooter or parts and yes we charge a few days ahead because we do not get the money that second we have to wait for credit card companies plus we need to hold that scooter for that customer and the onloy way to insure someone gets a scooter they want we charge when its on the way to us.

Yes we have been quite busy this week with the arrival of Metro Duos, Sports, Keeway Matrix and Hurricane, Expressways and BMS ITAs here early next week. More shipments every week till we run out again. Althought parts have also been slow to get out lately with demand we still get parts shipments every week two to three if not everyday. Polini had run out of alot of things so we just got some Honda Ruckus Polini kits in along with Two Stroke cylinder kits and four stroke cylinder kits from MRP plus new pipes for 139QMB and Two Stroke also. Leo Vince pipes did arrive with more chrome coming in.

But all of this is nothing at all without the loyal customer base Scootertronics is building through trust and dedication to our cuctomers. This brings me to my point of the day is we are always adjusting what we spend our time and energy on to best serve our customers we have now and then move on to the new ones we get everyday. When we have only so many of a product we have to reserve those for customers we have now, however we do regert not being able to be more timely and less on BO it seems to be the nature of what we are doing to have exploding months for each product right now its scooters but we have to be ready for go carts any day now.

July Rolls in with a Bang

Scootertronics continues roll along with a push from the 4th of July fireworks that are happening in the scooter world for everything we could have predicted. The gas prices have fueled an industry that was not ready. Scootertronics has started alot of trends with first shipping scooters in 2003 to now with full time shop plus lots of different products and parts. Hence we do not ship unprepped scooters from a warehouse which is the norm for internet purchases plus our upgrades that are requested. Scootertronics has pretty much bought all teh parts and different scooter model parts that we can find and supplies have dewindled, there is hope though due to the hard work we are doing we now have scooters, parts and trunks plus locks all in stock now plus deliveries every day just about of parts and scooters. We have alot of back orders.

Back Orders

Scootertronics has shipping dates for arrival of Duos and Retros plus most other models all due in everyday from now on with first Duos arriving July 11 and shipping JUly 15, we will also at this start filling all local orders for Duos also Retros will be arriving July 15 and shipping July 17, however there are alot of BOs so we are starting from the top some closer will recieve earlier.

Parts are picking up finally with MRP recieving new 139QMB pipes plus stock parts so we will be able to get stock and high performance in one place.

ATV Solutions handles our Tilt A Rack orders and has been really hit hard and is a month behind saying shipping has happened twice now and still customers have not recieved.

Ridding and Modding

Well here we are going into the Fourth of July with a bang, I sure have been ridding now for 3 months just about everyday making a trip to shop at least once a week for a 85 mile run on a CF Moto V5 hopped up with MRP Pipe and Dr Pulley Clutch and sliding roller weights. I will soon also put a 300cc MRP kit with forged piston for even more power for my V5. The 300cc Kit from Martin racing performance will work on the chinese CN250 engines used in most of the 250 scooters using a vertical engine. With clutchs, weights and variators and belts scootertronics does carry even perofrmance for your 250 Honda clone engine to get alot more out of it just as in the GY 6 50 and 150 scooters. Dr Pulley cltch and bell added to a JMStar Expressway 250 will give a tremndos boast on take off and allow for greater top end speeds. We have shipped a few with the Dr Pulley 231802 clutch and bell and also needed to fine tune variator weights with Dr Pulley sliders to keep the scooter still so it would not burn out so much.

Linhai 300 and 260

These two models from Linhai have company in the Vog 260 which is a good performer also. We have been collecting different high performance parts for the Yamaha designed engines as well as the Honda designed 250s. Cylinder kit plus clutches, belts and variators are being put up on scootertronics for the summer along with a custom rear rack for Linhai 300s for adding a trunk as well as soft luguage that will be added for Vog 260 and Linhai 260.

Fast Times Delivery

Second week of July still has found us behind in completing most part orders for stock parts and pretty much good for high perofrmance. 2008 has brought many challenges to Scootertronics and to me at this point we are hiring and rearranging sales, parts , trunks, windshields, Givi products as well as our scooter helmet line, stock parts then high perofrmance parts. Account managers will soon take over most of the day to day operation with shop staff being reduced and then beefed up for support. This means a parts dept to ship and service shop.

The delay for scooters is most due to production from china and bad timing by many distributors which has left scootertronics high and dry for some time as for a complete line we have been used to selling for the past three years. With adding a few scoots here and there we have been able to fill most orders for those who want a certain scooter. I have made mention of this before and basically we are only offering custom 50cc scooters at this time as well as our Maxie and 150 scooters. This means all 50cc four stroke models are sold as custom hopped up scoots and no stock bikes. There are too many selling the exact same thing and we stick to what we know and give all customers a chance to get a powerful scoot along with our local customers.

We have replace some and drop several others to offer the best we can. Just getting tried of chasing the price war that goes on when selling on the internet. This I will not do and will get away from it if possible. By simply offering scooters that only a lcal shop can offer this will keep scootertronics a cut above all others if not way above any other dealer.

Our Metro Duos and Retro 16s are due in the next 2-4 weeks. With the amount of BOs it will take this long to get them in and prepped and shipped out.

We are getting Sport Rs and two stroke M80s plus Vento and Keeway in the next two weeks. Along with these we have some BMC Apachees that we are doing upgrades for top speed.

We hope all customers can be patient while we fill the orders that have been placed.

Thanks Michael

Slow Delivery

The last two months has been very hard to even get scooters much less ship them to customers. Linhai has been good but slow just due to volume but all our 50cc have been slow to even get them but there is good news must scooters are now arriving from overseas but when the get here they still have to ship to us before we can ship to our customers which will take 10-14 business days for customers to recieve a scooter.

With gas prices the way they are this back log will take most of July to clear not counting all the scooters that will be ordered a5t that time. A lot of the timing is affected by midwest floods, power outage in the east, gas prices in the south, storms that knock our power for days all of these happen and are happening every day. Its funny I watch the weather to see when my scooters will arrive, I learned this last Feb/March with snow storms in Ohio trying to get Vog 260s out, it snowed and delayed everything two weeks. Same thing happening now, China does not ship because of some act of nature scooters are shipped two weeks later plus now the big one, China full fills Europen orders first every year USA second because USA did not care about scooters till now. Thats what everyone does not plan for and never orders or trys to make sure they stock at this time of year come Nov they will try to give away scooters everyone will drop prices then sell out and not get more till the following summer. We were stocked up till June but sold out in April and no one we buy from except Linhai have had any scooters at all. Most of our distributors will no longer be our distributors is the way I am going I am tried of fighting the cheap chinese scooter problems and will drop every scooter that is not supported the way I think it should be period. I will however add the best and offer only the best from now on.

Botton line please bear with us while we fill all orders as fast as we can, it has been over welming with the amount of total orders that I hired more people bought more product and work 14 hours a day everyday.

This year sure has been a crazy one with all the orders for parts and high performance parts. I figure on such but never the amount it turned out to be. With more and more of the GY 6 scooters out there the more people want to make them better and we have found many ways to make it happen with kits and exhaust plus clutches.

The Vog 260 is back for about a two week period online. All colors are in and it takes about 10-14 business days to recieve a prepped scooter. We do suggest we have decieded to change fluids in alot of the bikes lately after finding some strange stuff in a few CF Motos and Linhais so we are making sure Vogs are good also.

Scootertronics is making way to catch in June with our scooters that are on BO for the last month and want to thank our customers for waiting.

We have changed alot about what we are doing this last month by adding custom hop ups done before delivery and basically these will scootertronics model and all that we sell. We are not just trying to see how many scooters we can sell but how many good ones that really help people out.

This will be a very short run of scooters with them selling out quickly, there are a few others trying to buy al lthese up that will not offer service scootertronics does so beware who you are buying from.

Number of Orders

Scootertronics has experienced a huge number of orders in the last two months with everything from every scooter we offer to every part and high perfomance upgrade we offer also plus many more scooters getting upgrades before they are delivered. Most of all our local sales are taking all of our stock unlike the past. Now all this madness for everything scooter is due to gas prices and getting out of hand everyone is scrambling to get a scooter or fix or upgrade. My best advice is wait for what you want and do not buy just to get something you will be disappointed and maybe have only one chance to secure a scooter this year.

With all that said we are gwtting products out and filling all orders for all of our products just some are taking longer to deliver due to back log of scooter orders and when they are getting to us from China and the distributors we buy from which we are changing at this point to more reliable scooters with better support than the regular models you see everywhere.

Scootertronics main vendors are

Linhai

CF Moto

MRP Martin Racing

Xinguye

JMStar/Jonway/Red Streak

MC Stuff

Motorcycle Carbs

Romaha

Looks like June will be the month we are able to restock and offer more models, with the Linhai 150 with the 16 inch wheels like our ITA 150 that is selling well the Linhai will be and has already started to be a good seller with no specs out yet we know its a good scooter and thats all our customers need to know to secure a reliable scooter from a reliable shop. Along with Linhai Retro 150 model we are also going to bring the Linahi 50 to our shop and sell from there for our local customers and sell this one with a year labor warranty for 1299.

What we really are looking at and will start in June is fully customized high performance scooters like The Barb Wire 50 with complete custom trans with Prodigy, Polini and Dr Pulley parts plus performance head carb and air filter to get scooter up to 50 with ease. These are same size as 150s with the same performance. All American model would be all Silver with Black Pin Stripe and red white and blue decals plus high performance exhaust cylinder 52mm head cam shaft trans mod an easy cool 55 on a All American 50. Maybe just local. we just have these cool models that beg for the parts that do the job, its fun.

Then we race them at Beaver Run PA this weekend.

Well I have to say I have never in my time seen it so desperate and so confussing and must make some drastic changes in all areas and did so this past week. And what I basically mean is supply and demand is not working out. We have been slowly changing product to better quality and took a huge step towards that this week in what scooters we will ship now. Its mainly our 50cc four stroke we are changing not models, but they will become first rate custom machines and we have to stop the drop everything ship it out as fast as we can and soley depend on customer base that knowlegable of our product. Too many problems and no fun for customers if we do not prep and ship the scooters, no dropship.

The amount of scooters and high performance parts order far exceeds supply that we have in stock, of course there are plenty of slow very useless scooters to sell but we do not do that and we want to inform our customers it takes time receive a good product that will work for you. All our 50cc will be custom scoots with new versions weekly. Same models we are just going to hop them up and make personal one off scooters.

Also I must confess we are getting behind but its mainly due to no product for us to even get.

With spring exploding with demand for even more scooters parts and high performance parts scootertronics has kept up to this point with new stock of 49cc scoots coming in June. these 2008 moldels will be the best we have to offer. Along with our turbo versions are a new Linhai 150 which will be better than all we have offered to this point, we will add a 300cc plus some CF Moto 150 liquid cooled scoots to offer a huge performance and quality scoots that most have messed out on becasue of demand and shopping on price alone which is something that does not work for scootertronics, we do not shop on price alone when looking for new scooters to add but on performance quality reliablity and service. Scootertronics will always offer scooters from companies that are here in the states with stock and parts like Linhai. Sunright has been very good at providing the best customer service to us than any others, Sunright provides Linhai 300, 260 and a Retro 150 model. ento and Keeway are also very good at this along with Red Streak who provide Meitian, Jonway plus many stock parts for GY6 scooters.

Along with high gas prices and the demand for gas savings more customers are looking to keep what they have and add performance parts and repairs to the scooters they have now. Scootertronics can improve the performance on a older 49cc scooter to make it a contender for 2008. Along with the Yamaha Zuma performance upgrades we do alot of GY6 based scooters also. We have seen an increasing amount of customers getting high performance parts installed before delivery.

Linhai has released new 300 for 2008 which carrys a higher price tag of 3299 than the 2899 the 2006 models have been selling for this year. By the way we will prep any 2008 300 for free. A new high performance two stroke from Jonway is out May 31, although costly it will prove to be worth it.

The new Meitian turbo Retros and Sport plus Duo will be here June 20th, these are already being sold to those who will wait for the best they are also our most popular.. New Linhai 150 which has the larger 16 inch wheels June 10 along with CF Moto scoots in June also with large 14 inchwheels plus its liquid cooled for 2199.

High Performance parts have been huge this year with alot of new stuff for Gy6 49cc, exhaust plus clutchs have been the best sellers along with cylinder kits, which we now have 72cc, 82cc and 85cc which get these scoots up to 55 no problem and hills are a breeze.

The most diffucult issues we have this year is supply and demand which has had our stock sold out mucg eariler than we planned and we plan starting in Sept each year but with gas prices much more has been ordered to keep up.

Scootertronics is full service shop and retail store plus our online business which has been the heart and soul of scootertronics but now it seems if our shop is our biggest assett. Customers now realize that they can now buy from an online store at better prices and still get service because we service what we sell unlike any other online store selling chinese scooters. Thereis not even one place that offers what scootertronics does, with upgrades, prep and parts its worth a little more than dropship from a warehouse, sure you pay less but what to do when help is needed.

BUY FROM A SHOP NOT WAREHOUSE

With gas prices going nuts everyday now and the warm spring air is bringing scooter riders out looking for all the great things that go along with thier ride with a huge number of new riders this year plus many are moving up to freeway speeds and need a Maxie scooter to get this done. Scootertronics has seen more new biz since Feb 11 we have had to hire and expand to keep up.

The Vog 260 was introduced in Feb to internet sales and took off and quickly sold out of first shipment by April. More Vog 260s will be in sometime in May more towards middle of month. They will not last long. This is a great scooter with great speed and very easy to ride. The colors are fantastic even the White color which I think is the best of the lookers.

The ITA 150 is also being introduced to internet sales this spring. The ITA has not sold as well as the Vog but the scooters from Xinguye are a step up if not a few steps than any other Chinese scooters on the market today. Wit hthe ITA performing well above others in the 150 range getting 65 on first ride and most likely 70mph easy. This is not common for a 150, thats why we are always upgrading the scooters we sell to get the best performance, the ITA has it with nothing added. The ITA is down the same line as CF Moto E Charm and the QLink with same quality and performance.

CF Moto will introduce a 150cc liquid cooled scooter that will knock your socks off. I am so glad this scooter is comimng out and I will be all over this thing to get it going. This will be sometime towards the end of May so also at this time we will offer the Glory 150, Commuter 150, V5, V3 plus the E Charm to round off the CF Moto line of scooters.

Our 2008 modles are starting to come in these are

Sport R 50cc Four Stroke dual disc brakes 40-45mph 80mpg great scooter with easy upgrades

Metro Duo new designs same great room and storage with dual disc brakes new lights

Admiral 150, with 16 wheels and the power of the ITA 150 this new model gets it done with dual disc brakes high seat level lots of room great instrument cluster.

Commuter 150 with looks of a Vento Phantera and Strada Modesto this one fills that gap left when they stopped making these, 150 power and lots of seat room.

Linhai 300 2008 modles are due, this one will carry a heavy price tag for those who simply want the best. With electric fuel pump alot of problems are just not going to happen. One of the biggest problems with alot of scooters is gas flow, electric pump solves that issue.

The only issue we have at this time is the same one as always the demand is stronger than the supply. But we are getting close. With scootertronics importing high performance parts from Tawain and our MRP deal we usally have everything in stock or a few short days away.

With gas prices going up and more and more people looking to save on gas they have come for scooters. From the 49cc two and four stroke models to the larger 250/300cc maxi scooters customers are choosing to save on gas by ridding scooters to work to run errands and a quick and easy way to get around. The Vog 260 along with our Blazer 50 and 150 plus our Retro scooters are most popular. We are seeing a trend again this year for upgrades and mods done before delivery. Scootertronics has also extended our personal delivery service to as far as New York and WV along with MD, VA, DC, PA, NJ, CT, NC and of course Washington DC.

2008 sees much better and more upgrades for our 139QMB engines in our 49cc four stroke scooters with three cylinder kits 72cc, 82cc and a new 85cc cylinder kit and large head with combined with a MRP clutch and clutch bell speeds of 50mph and hill climbing is done with ease. Just upgrading the trans on these models does well. Larger jets and a 20mm carb also avalible plus A Dr Pulley clutch for the complete mod.

Scootertronics will hit the race circuit this year with races in PA and Ohio. We will taking along a Vespa 125, Yamaha Zuma, Strada 150 and Blazer 50 and 150 bith with a ton of mods which we have built several of these engines for our customers.

Along with the consumer being hit with gas prices the price of shipping scooters has been going up the whole time also which will start having an impact on prices along with the value of the dollar following in China will also cause scooter prices to go up.price for new models plus all of our 250 and up models will go up starting in May. All the dealers will feel the same effect but with most businesses they will cut service to handle the impact of price increase instead of passing it along to the customer. Scootertronics will stay on its course and allow higher prices on scooters which only causes Scootertronics to add value instead of taking it away. Scootertronics increased it personal delivery area, added fluids to prep work, lengthen the warranty period on all scooters. Instead of cutting cost Scootertronics will add value to each sale not take it away. If the price goes we will still prep for free on the Vog 260 which will also dual rear shocks added in May for new models.
